“Star Wars: Tales Of The Jedi” First Reactions
Disney’s next animated Star Wars adventure is “Tales Of The Jedi”, which is an anthology collection of six all-new animated shorts that have been created by Dave Filoni (“Star Wars: The Clone Wars,” “Star Wars Rebels”).
Based on Star Wars and characters created by George Lucas, the series is set during the prequel era and spotlights important moments in the lives of fan-favourite characters Ahsoka Tano and Jedi-turned-Sith Lord Count Dooku as they embark on respective paths toward heroism and villainy.
Some critics, including myself, have been able to watch all six shorts, and the social media reaction embargo has now lifted, so we can share our early thoughts on the series, with a full review coming out on October 26th, which is when the series is released on Disney+.
Here are my thoughts on the brand-new short series:
#StarWars #TalesOfTheJedi is an excellent continuation of the animated universe. Each short is about 10+ minutes long. The artwork is amazing on this series. All have a serious tone. I enjoyed the Dooku shorts more, especially showing why he turned to the Sith. More Please Disney pic.twitter.com/uvI6qRQSSb

#TalesOfTheJedi brings an emotional blast to the past that fills in some exciting blanks in the prequel trilogy. Short enough to make for an easy watch while providing intriguing new details about two key players from both sides of the Force. A must-see for Star Wars fans! pic.twitter.com/9Esn92Jar8

My opinion might be a tad biased here, but hear me out… #TalesOfTheJedi is really, REALLY good Star Wars.

Had a chance to watch #TalesOfTheJedi and am incredibly happen to confirm the shorts all whip great amounts of ass. One short in particular did everything I’d hoped with a certain diminutive character, but all of them brought a surprising amount of depth & emotion. pic.twitter.com/BFZjv8iUNX

I cried in four out of six episodes. Some of the tears made sense, others did not. Regardless the animation and music in this show soar and no words are wasted. We’ve been looking forward to this for quite some time and it did not disappoint in the slightest ✨#TalesOfTheJedi https://t.co/iDk5Vg7B1G
