Disney has announced that the Latin American series, “Santo Maldito”, will be released on Disney’s streaming services around the world on Wednesday, 8th February 2023.  The show will be released on Disney+ around the world, including in Canada, along with other countries around the world, while the series will also be released in the United States on Hulu and on Star+ in Latin America.

The series is about an atheist teacher who is lured into a religious organization that preaches the power of miracles.

It stars Felipe Camargo, Ana Flávia Cavalcanti  and Augusto Madeira.  Along with Bárbara Luz (“ Unicórnio” ), Marina Provenzzano (“ Todas as Mulheres do Mundo” ), Vinícius Meloni (“ Todos os Mortos” ), Helena Albergaria (“ Que Horas Ela Volta” ), Mariana Sena (“ Mar do Sertão” ), João Assunção (“ Entre Idas e Vindas” ), Flávio Bauraqui (“ Arcanjo Renegado” ) and Ravel Cabral (“ Insania” ), and Othon Bastos (“ O Paciente”; ” After the Universe” ).

The series has been created by Intro Pictures and consists of eight 45-minute episodes.   It’s been directed by Gustavo Bonafé (“ Insania” ), Mariana Bastos (“ Alguma Coisa Assim” ) and Lucas Fazzio (“ Two Tons” ). The script was written by Rubens Marinelli (“ Entre Lágrimas e Risos” ), Ricardo Tiezzi (“ O Outro Lado do Paraíso” ) and Bea Góes (“ Quarentenados” ), with the collaboration of Carla Meireles (“ Manhãs de Setembro” ), Fábio Rodrigo (“ Kairo” ), Vinicius Vasconcellos (“ Todos os Mortos” ) and Matheus Hruschka (“ Entre Lágrimas e Risos” ).
