Disney has announced that the National Geographic documentary series, “Rewind The 90s”, is going to be coming to our screens in the United States this summer.

Celebrities, eyewitnesses and pop culture pundits relive the most memorable moments of the decade that ushered in the new millennium. From Y2K to Weird Al Yankovic, Tupac to Titanic, and Madonna to the Macarena, REWIND THE ’90s explores the forces that shaped the decade that changed the world forever.

Disney has also released details of the first two episodes:

  • “The Reality Revolution” Premieres on July 31 at 9/8c. – Camcorders fuel our obsession with ourselves, a hand-held horror film makes us question reality and “The Real World” ushers in the age of reality TV.
  • “Comedy Rebellion” Premieres on July 31 at 10/9c. – “The Simpsons” changes the world, a parody becomes a trusted news source, and drag hits the big screen.

The first episode will be released on the National Geographic channel on Monday, 31st July 2023, with new episodes being released weekly. The entire series will be released on Disney+ on Wednesday, 30th August 2023.  No international release details have been announced, but expect this show to arrive at some point in the future on Disney+, but it will vary from country to country.
