Last year, Disney announced a brand new short called “Dug Days: Carl’s Date”, which is a brand-new short from Pixar and continues the humorous misadventures of Dug, the lovable dog from Disney and Pixar’s “Up”.

In Pixar Animation Studios’ special short, “Carl’s Date,” Carl Fredricksen reluctantly agrees to go on a date with a lady friend—but admittedly has no idea how dating works these days. Ever the helpful friend, Dug steps in to calm Carl’s pre-date jitters and offer some tried-and-true tips for making friends—if you’re a dog.

Disney previously announced that the short would be arriving on Disney+ on Friday, 10th February 2023. However, it looks like the short could be potentially delayed, as in the recent “Next On Disney+” video for February and the short wasn’t listed.  It also wasn’t included in the highlights video for February, which showcases the main new originals.

Adding to this, the short has been removed from the official February press list, and there is no mention of the short on the Australian lineup for February either.  Making a delay even more likely.  Disney hasn’t officially confirmed the delay or revealed a new release date, but it does look more likely with references of the date being removed from its official lists.

The first five “Dug Days” shorts are available to stream now on Disney+.
