With just a couple of episodes left of Marvel’s “Agatha All Along”, fans are starting to wonder what happens next within the MCU and while attending the premiere of “Here” in Los Angeles, Paul Bettany was asked by THR about the upcoming untitled “Vision” series that is scheduled to be coming to Disney+ in 2026.   Paul revealed that filming will begin next year that “we’re cooking up something that I’m really excited about,” but didn’t reveal much more since he joked about Marvel’s secrecy over the project, adding that “snitches end up in ditches.”

In the upcoming series, Paul Bettany will reprise his role of Vision, who was last seen in the “WandaVision” series, which saw the Scarlet Witch bring Vision back to life using her magic after Thanos killed him after ripping the Mind stone from his forehead in “Avengers: Infinity War”.

However, SWORD had been experimenting on the android’s parts, rebuilding a new “White” version, that didn’t have any of the memories of Vision.  But when the two versions of Vision come together, “White Vision’s” memory is restored, resulting in him flying off, and we’ve not seen him since.  So the new series is expected to pick up from that moment.

The upcoming “Vision” series will be the second series to follow on from the events of “WandaVision”, as “Agatha All Along” is currently being released on Disney+.  Paul shared his thoughts on the new series:

“I love it. I love it and I’m so proud of [showrunner] Jac Schaeffer and I am going to watch again because there’s so much for me to learn moving forward into my contribution,”

It’s also been previously revealed that James Spader will return as Ultron, an AI being created by Tony Stark as a defence program but who turned against humanity in “Avengers: Age of Ultron.”

While previously, Marvel Studios would reveal upcoming shows and films years in advance at major events like the San Diego Comic-Con or D23, they’ve been slowly moving away from that model.  Officially, Marvel hasn’t announced the upcoming “Vision” series and we probably won’t know too much more about the project for a while.

Roger’s Take:  It’ll be interesting to see where the “Vision” series goes, as it does feel like a natural expansion of the “WandaVision” universe, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it also is used to build on the “Young Avengers” storyline and possibly also feature Joe Locke returning as Wiccan, who is the reincarnated version of Vision’s son, Billy.   I also think its probably a good idea for Disney to hold off making any major announcements about new shows or movies until they actually start filming, since so many projects have been delayed or cancelled.
