The runway show has become far more than a fashion event—it’s evolved into a global cultural moment that sits at the intersection of fashion, entertainment, sports and storytelling. Releasing on Hulu, helps us amplify our reach, create deeper audience engagement and deliver the energy and excitement of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit to viewers everywhere through premium streaming.”
In addition to the biggest runway show during Swim Week, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit will host a series of exclusive events throughout the weekend to celebrate the launch of the 2026 issue.
Roger’s Take: Disney is continuing to expand the type of content it wants to offer subscribers. Not everything is going to be for everyone, and this event certainly is going to raise some eyebrows, as it’s a little more risqué. Ultimately, if the show is a hit, it’ll be back, but if it fails to ignite a spark of interest with subscribers, it might be a one-and-done. Personally, it feels like something that would have been popular in the 90s, but just doesn’t seem that relevant in the internet era.
