One of this year’s biggest new shows has been “Paradise”, which is set in a serene community inhabited by some of the world’s most prominent individuals. But this tranquility explodes when a shocking murder occurs, and a high-stakes investigation unfolds.

The show has been a surprise smash hit for Hulu and Disney+, with the first episode pulling in 7 million views across its first week on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and on Disney+ in the United States.  The first episode pulled in 17.6 million views in total since its initial release in January 2025.

Disney has also revealed that the season finale pulled in 6.3 million views within the first seven days, and this number, much like the first episode, will continue to pull in viewers in the coming weeks and months ahead.

This has been a huge win for Disney, and the initial success of the premiere, resulted in Disney giving the show a quick renewal for a second season.

“Paradise” stars Sterling K. Brown, James Marsden, Julianne Nicholson, Sarah Shahi, Nicole Brydon Bloom, Aliyah Mastin and Percy Daggs IV.

The show has been created by Dan Fogelman, who is behind “This Is Us” and “Only Murders In The Building”, with Sterling K. Brown, John Requa, Glenn Ficarra, John Hoberg, Jess Rosenthal, and Steve Beers also executive producing the show.

“Paradise” season one is now streaming on Hulu in the U.S. and Disney+ internationally.

Roger’s Take: It’s great to see so many people have been checking out “Paradise”, which is one of my favourite shows of the year so far and is well worth watching if you haven’t already.
