According to Making Star Wars, filming is due to begin next month on the upcoming Disney+ Series, Obi-Wan Kenobi at the “train yard” location in Southern California for some exterior shots.

The location has previously been used on both seasons of Star Wars: The Mandalorian series, as the location, looks like the desert planet, Tatooine.

Filming on the show is expected to take place at the Pinewood Studios in the UK, though that wasn’t expected to begin until next year.

Earlier this year, actor Ewan McGregor spoke about the upcoming filming on the show, which he is expecting will use the same “Volume” technology as previously used in “The Mandalorian”.

Deborah Chow, who previously directed one of the episodes on the Mandalorian, will be directing the entire Obi-Wan Kenobi series, which is set 8 years after the events of “Revenge of the Sith”.
