It’s the start of a brand new month, and unfortunately, that means that Disney is often forced to remove a small selection of titles from Disney+ due to contracts made by 20th Century Fox, years before Disney purchased the company. Having titles removed from Disney+ is sadly becoming more regular, which has happened since it launched in 2019.

Disney is kicking off May by removing the 20th Century Studios title, “Never Been Kissed”.  This isn’t the first time that “Never Been Kissed” has been removed from Disney+. It’s actually happened more than once. The good news is that we should expect the film to return back to Disney+ in the United States, once it completes its contract with other streaming services like HBO and Starz, but this might be a while, and we probably won’t know about its return until one day when it just reappears.

The film stars Drew Barrymore, who lights up this romantic comedy as a nerdy reporter who goes undercover at a high school, reliving her agonizing adolescence but finding love for the first time.

“Never Been Kissed” is still available for Disney+ subscribers outside of the United States.
