Moe Bar-El To Star In FX’s New “Alien” Series
With the strikes and the holidays over, production is set to resume later this month in Bangkok, Thailand on the upcoming FX “Alien” series, which was originally announced back at the Disney Investor Day in 2020.
The upcoming series is set not too far into our future, and it’s the first Alien story set on Earth. It blends both the timeless horror of the first “Alien” film with the non-stop action of the second and will take place before Ripley.
The cast of “Alien” includes Sydney Chandler (Pistol), Timothy Olyphant (“Justified”), David Rysdahl (“Oppenheimer”), Alex Lawther (Star Wars: Andor), Samuel Blenkin (Black Mirror), Kit Young (Shadow And Bone), Essie Davis (Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries) and Adarsh Gourav (The White Tiger).
The show will also star Babou Ceesay (“Guerrilla,” “Damilola”), Jonathan Ajayi (“Wonder Woman 1984,” “Noughts and Crosses”), Erana James (“Uproar,” “The Wilds”), Lily Newmark (“Pin Cushion,” “Sex Education”), Diêm Camille (“Washington Black,” “Alex Rider 3”), and Adrian Edmondson (“War & Peace,” “A Spy Among Friends”).
Deadline has reported that Moe Bar-El has joined the cast of FX’s “Alien”, in a major recurring role, though no details on what character Moe will be playing have been revealed.
Moe Bar-El has previously starred in “The Peripheral”, “PhoneShop”, “Black Mirror”, “Tyrant”, “The Bureau”, “Honour” and “Tehran”. Recently, Moe won Olivier Award nomination for a role in the Hampstead Theatre production of “Everyday I Make Greatness Happen”.
FX’s “Alien” will be coming to Disney’s streaming services, including Hulu, Star+, and Disney+ in 2025.
Previous “Alien” films are available to stream now on Hulu and on Disney+ in many countries, including the UK, Canada and Australia.
