Since Disney announced that Marvel Studios would have a special presentation at the upcoming D23 Expo event in September, there has been much speculation about whether Marvel Studios would be skipping San Diego Comic-Con this year.

It’s been over three years since Marvel Studios attended SDCC, where it announced its phase four plans, including shows like “Hawkeye” and many films, including “Thor: Love & Thunder” and “Blade”.

The good news is, during a global press conference for “Thor: Love & Thunder”, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige revealed:

“We’ll be at Comic-Con next month, which we’re excited about.  First time since we were on stage there three years ago talking about this movie and many others. And now, I think, almost, not everything but almost everything we discussed three years ago, that was released so we are excited to go and talk about the future.”

Between SDCC and the D23 Expo, Disney is releasing several Marvel projects on Disney+, including “She-Hulk” and “I am Groot”, which will no doubt be covered during the event.  Especially since “She-Hulk” posters have been spotted in the San Diego area.

Disney also has other projects coming out this year, including “Guardians Of The Galaxy: Holiday Special” and the second season of “What If?”.  Plus, Marvel still hasn’t officially announced the Halloween special, “Werewolf By Night”.   Plus, many other projects haven’t been officially announced, such as “Nova”, “Daredevil”, “Deadpool 3” and the “Thunderbolts”.  All of which could easily be revealed at San Diego Comic-Con.

Plus, we still haven’t seen anything of the many other projects hitting our screens over the next year or so, such as “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”, “The Marvels”, “Secret Invasion”,  “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” and the third “Guardians Of The Galaxy” film.  So a preview of any of these projects could be possible. However, these previews may not be released to the public and just to those in attendance.

Will we get a full reveal of when Phase 4 will end and what’s coming in Phase 5?  Who knows, but at least now we know Marvel Studios is returning to San Diego Comic-Con.

San Diego Comic-Con kicks off on July 21st 2022.
