Disney held a special screening event for the first two episodes of the new Marvel Studios series, “Echo”, at the District at Choctaw Casinos & Resorts in Durant, OK. The new five-episode series, “Echo”, will premiere on Disney+ and Hulu on January 10th 2024 and spotlights Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox) as she is pursued by Wilson Fisk’s (Vincent D’Onofrio) criminal empire. When the journey brings her home, she must confront her own family and legacy.
The director of the series, Sydney Freeland, took part in a special question and answer session following the screening of the first two episodes and said:
“It’s so exciting to be able to premiere Echo and it is extremely meaningful to myself to have this screening in Chocktaw Nation. One of the things we’re most excited about is being able to portray the Chocktaw culture hopefully in an authentic and exciting way.”
Some of the costumes from the series were also on display for fans to check out. Due to the ongoing actor’s strike, none of the stars from the show were able to attend the event.
