The official selection for the upcoming Annecy International Animation Film Festival has been announced, and Disney will have several projects being showcased at the event.

The film festival will be taking place in Annecy, France, from June 13th through to June 18th,

Walt Disney Animation Studios will have a presentation that will give a look ahead at the upcoming film, “Strange World”.

Disney’s Jennifer Lee, who is the Chief creative officer of Walt Disney Animation Studios, is being awarded Annecy’s, Honorary Cristal award.

Pixar Animation Studios will also host a special screening of “Lightyear” on June 17th, which is on the same day as when the film drops into cinemas.  Also attending the screening will be the film’s director Angus MacLane and producer Galyn Susman who will be attending the Annecy in person.

 

Sony will also be showcasing footage from ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’.  It’s unclear if this will be the same footage that was shown last week at CinemaCon.

The programme for the festival hasn’t been officially announced yet.   Other major films to be shown off during the event include the first look at “Puss In Boots” and the premiere of “Minions: The Rise of Gru”.
