National Geographic documentary series, “The World According To Jeff Goldblum” was one of the original Disney+ launch titles, and a second season arrived on the streaming service for Disney+ Day last year.

In “The World According to Jeff Goldblum,” Jeff takes us on an entertaining, insightful and playful ride. In each episode of this series, he pulls on the thread of a deceptively familiar topic to unravel a world of astonishing connections and fascinating secrets, science and history. From sneakers, ice cream, monsters, fireworks and magic to everything in between, Jeff uncovers how even the simplest things have incredible, sometimes whimsical back stories. Through the prism of Jeff’s curious and witty mind, nothing is as it seems. These “modern marvels” are so commonplace that we often take them for granted…but Jeff Goldblum does not.

Since the second batch of episodes arrived on Disney+ earlier this year, we’ve not heard any more details on a potential third season.

But recently, Jeff Goldblum spoke with Deadline for its Contenders Television: The Nominees panel and shared an update on a potential third season.  The second season was nominated for an Emmy in the Outstanding Hosted Non-Fiction Series or Special category.

“I hope there’s a Season 3 or some kind of continuation of what we’re already doing.  Music is of robust interest to me. As a matter of fact, it occurs to me now, but before I left to do this [new project], I was in the studio again with my band, The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra, and we recorded some things that gave me a big thrill. Maybe if we’re basing more material in this series on stuff that thrills me and makes me curious and about which I can learn, and I’m eager to learn more, that could be something some aspect of it.”

Hopefully, we might hear more about a potential third season of the show soon, and with the series covering so many random topics, there are still plenty of topics to cover.
