Disney is continuing to build up its reality series lineup with Hulu picking up a brand new dating series called “Virgin Island”, which will see a group of stunningly attractive and confident singles who have yet to embark in some “hibity-dibity”.

The dating show will help these singles find “the one” in a tropical setting.  According to Hulu, the new show promises unexpected twists, new arrivals and departures, all of which will culminate “in a dramatic finale where burgeoning relationships are put to the test.”

As the cast finds heartfelt connections and explores their varying reasons for waiting, there will be plenty of unexpected twists, including new arrivals and departures, all culminating in a dramatic finale where burgeoning relationships are put to the test. From flirty encounters to meaningful bonds and the inherent drama of navigating intimacy, the series’ singles will discover that the road to love can be unpredictable for everyone.”

The new ten-episode series will be created by ITV America, the company behind “Love Island,” and Plimsoil Productions, which recently made “A Real Bug’s Life.”  Executive producers for ITV America are David George and Adam Sher; for Plimsoll, executive producers are Grant Mansfield, Karen Plumb and Alan Eyres. Peter Geist also serves as executive producer.

Casting for the new reality series is currently underway and they are looking for single people who are over 21 years old and a legal U.S. resident. Applications can be found here.

No other details on this upcoming reality series have been announced, but as with other Hulu Originals, we should also expect to see it released on Hulu On Disney+ in the United States.  It’s unclear if this series will also be released as a Star Original on Disney+ internationally.

Roger’s Take:  Following on from the success of “Love Island”, this show will likely be as raunchy as possible, without crossing that line.
