
FX’s “The Bear” Wins Ten Emmy Awards
The 75th Primetime Emmy Awards took place on Monday evening at the Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles, and the event brought together many Hollywood stars to recognise excellence in television programming and individual achievement for the 2022-2023 television season.
Disney continued to add to its haul of winners during the awards season, with “The Bear”, “Abbott Elementary”, and “Elton John Live: Fareware From Dodger Stadium” winning.
“The Bear” was one of the biggest winners of the event, winning the award for Outstanding Comedy Series, along with Best Lead Actor, Best Supporting Actress and Actor. Overall, the show won ten Primetime Emmys.
While Quinta Brunson also won the Best Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her role in the hit comedy series, “Abbott Elementary”.
When added in with the creative awards that were announced last week, Disney picked up 37 Primetime Emmy Awards across its content brands, studios, and platforms, including ABC, Disney Branded Television, Disney+, Disney Television Studios (20th Television Animation, 20th Television, and ABC Signature), FX, FX Productions, Hulu, National Geographic, Onyx Collective, and The Walt Disney Studios (20th Century Studios, Lucasfilm Ltd., and Marvel Studios).
With three wins for Disney Branded Television’s “Elton John Live: Farewell From Dodger Stadium”, Sir Elton John has now reached EGOT status, becoming the 19th person to receive an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony award.
