As we approach 2022, we take a look at what’s coming to Disney+ in 2022 from Star Wars, which includes multiple brand new series and much more.

It’s important to note, this list is subject to change and there might also be more content announced at a later date.

Here’s the rundown:

 


“The Book Of Boba Fett”

“The Book of Boba Fett,” a thrilling Star Wars adventure teased in a surprise end-credit sequence following the Season 2 finale of “The Mandalorian,” finds legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett and mercenary Fennec Shand navigating the galaxy’s underworld when they return to the sands of Tatooine to stake their claim on the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate.

New episodes of “The Book Of Boba Fett” are going to be released every Wednesday throughout January and early February 2021.


Obi-Wan Kenobi

Ewan McGregor returns in the iconic role of Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi for a special event series on
Disney+. Officially titled Obi-Wan Kenobi, the series begins 10 years after the dramatic events of “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith” where he faced his greatest defeat, the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker turned evil Sith Lord Darth Vader. The series is directed by Deborah Chow, who helmed memorable episodes of “The Mandalorian,” Season 1, and features the return of Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader.

The Disney+ Original Series “Obi-Wan Kenobi” premieres on Disney+ in 2022.


Andor

“Andor” is a tense nail-biting spy thriller created by Tony Gilroy, is set to arrive on Disney+ in 2022. Diego Luna, reprising the role of rebel spy Cassian Andor from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, will be joined by a fantastic new cast that includes Stellan Skarsgård, Adria Arjona, Fiona Shaw, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller and Genevieve O’Reilly as Mon Mothma.


 

 


Star Wars: The Bad Batch – Season 2

“Star Wars: The Bad Batch” follows the elite and experimental clones of the Bad Batch (first introduced in “The Clone Wars”) as they find their way in a rapidly changing galaxy in the immediate aftermath of the Clone War. Members of Bad Batch—a unique squad of clones who vary genetically from their brothers in the Clone Army—each possess a singular exceptional skill that makes them extraordinarily effective soldiers and a formidable crew.

The second season will be coming to Disney+ in 2022.


And this isn’t all, much like with previous years, we should expect more Star Wars content to arrive in 2022, with some behind the scenes specials and much more.

 


Plus Lucasfilm, who create Star Wars, also has another series heading to Disney+ in 2022:


Willow

“Willow” is set decades after Ron Howard’s 1988 movie, continues the spirit of adventure, heroics and humour of the original film in this new series/ Warwick Davis will return in the role of the great sorcerer, Willow Ufgood, along with Ruby Cruz (“Mare of Easttown”), Erin Kellyman (“The Falcon and The Winter Soldier”), Ellie Bamber (“The Serpent”), Tony Revolori (“Spider-Man: No Way Home”), Amar Chadha Patel (“The Third Day”) and Dempsey Bryk (“The Birch”).

“Willow” premieres exclusively on Disney+ in 2022.
