Last night, the 35th Annual GLAAD Media Awards were held at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Hollywood and Disney’s animated series, “Hailey’s On It”, picked up the award in the Outstanding Animated Kids & Family Programming or Film category.

The series tells the story of Hailey, a risk-averse but resourceful teenager in Oceanside, California, who embarks on a mission to complete every item on her long list of challenging and sometimes impractical tasks to save the world. “Hailey’s On It” is available to stream now on Disney+.

GLAAD is the world’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) media advocacy organization.  During the event, Oprah Winfrey received the Vanguard Award.   The ceremony was hosted by Wayne Brady, who will soon be featured in his own reality series on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+.

The Hulu documentary, “Relighting Candles”, was also awarded a  Special Recognition award and the Marvel comic book, “Star Wars: Doctor Aphra”, also picked up the Outstanding Comic Book.

  • Outstanding Magazine Overall Coverage – Out
  • Outstanding Video Game – Baldur’s Gate 3 (Larian Studios)
  • Outstanding Comic Book – Star Wars: Doctor Aphra, written by Alyssa Wong (Marvel Comics)
  • Outstanding Original Graphic Novel/Anthology – Four-Color Heroes, by Richard Fairgray (Fanbase Press)
  • Outstanding Scripted Television Series – Spanish Language – Las Noches de Tefía (Atresplayer)
  • Outstanding TV Journalism – Spanish Language – “Adolescentes trans relatan su experiencia” Noticiero Telemundo (Telemundo)
