Disney+ Original “My Home Hero” Teaser Trailer Released
Disney has released a teaser trailer for the upcoming Japanese Original series, “My Home Hero”, which is a live-action adaptation of a crime-suspense manga series.
“My Home Hero” follows Tosu Tetsuo, who is a humble office worker, who lives a peaceful life with his only daughter, Reika, and his beloved wife, Kasen (Kimura). On the day of his 47th birthday, Tetsuo meets Reika, who lives alone, but there are bruises on her face from being beaten, clearly indicating that something has happened. Worried about Reika, who doesn’t answer his questions, Tetsuo secretly visits her daughter’s apartment and finds her turbulent boyfriend, Nobuto Matori, there. Tetsuo immediately hides in a closet, but learns that Nobuto once beat his ex-girlfriend to death and is planning to harm Reika as well. For the sake of his beloved family, Tetsuo takes a certain action.
Before long, Tetsuo is cornered by a group of semi-grey members, including Nobuto’s friend Kyoichi Majima, who belongs to a criminal organization, and is forced to fight back and forth. However, he fights against the darkness of society using his intelligence, which he has cultivated through his hobby of mystery knowledge, and his love for family.

This original animated series stars Kuranosuke Sasaki, Kyohei Takahashi, Asuka Saito, Tae Kimura, Eisaku Yoshida, Takuma Otoo, Yasushi Fuchigami, and Shuichiro Naito. The show has been directed by Takahiro Aoyama. The manga series was written by Naoki Yamakawa and illustrated by Masashi Asaki.
“My Home Hero” will be released as a Star Original on Disney+ around the world, including the UK, Singapore, Japan, Canada and Australia, from October 25th 2023.
