Disney has released a new teaser trailer and poster for the upcoming Korean Original series, “Chief Detective 1958”, which is a prequel set before the popular ‘70s and ‘80s Korean drama series, “Chief Inspector”, 

The series follows the story of Park Young Han (Lee Je Hoon), a passionate detective who boasts the highest arrest rate of petty thieves, as he teams up with three charismatic colleagues to break the norms of corruption.

The series stars Lee Jehoon, who has previously starred in “Taxi Driver”, and “Signa”. It also stars Lee Donghwi, who starred in “Big Bet” and “Reply 1988”. It has been directed by Kim Sunghoon (Confidential Assignment, Rampant).

This is the latest Korean original series to head to Disney+ following the success of “Big Bet”, “Moving” and “Snowdrop”.

“Chief Inspector” will be coming to Disney+ on April 19th 2024 in many countries around the world including Canada, Singpaore, South Africa and Korea. New episodes will be released on both Friday and Saturday. As with most Korean Disney+ Originals, expect to see the show also released on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ at a later date.
