One of the most watched shows on Hulu and Disney+ is “The Kardashians”, which will return for a seventh season in the future.

The series follows the Kardashian-Jenner family. From the big screen to baby bliss, the family continues to defy expectations in all their endeavours. Cameras roll as Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, Kendall, and Kylie navigate contentious sister dynamics, all under the watchful eye of everyone’s favourite matriarch, Kris.

This past week, Hulu held a special “Get Real House” event to promote its new lineup of reality shows and it was revealed by Disney’s reality chief, Rob Mills that they are developing “Calabasas Behind the Gates” for Hulu and Disney+.

The spin-off series is set behind the gated community of Calabasas, CA, where the family lives, and it’ll answer “Who are all of these people in the extended lives of the Kardashians?”.

“Calabasas Behind The Gates” is being created by Fulwell73, who are also behind “The Kardashians”. Ben Winston exec produces alongside Emma Conway, Elizabeth Jones and Danielle King, who serves as showrunner. Kris Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian Barker, Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner also serve as executive producers.

This isn’t the first spin-off series from The Kardashian family, as the original series “Keeping Up With The Kardasdians” had over a dozen different spin-off shows including “Kourtney and Kim Take Miami”, “Revenge Body with Khloé Kardashian” and “Kris”.

Roger’s Take: I’m not surprised that Disney is doubling down on “The Kardashians” after its huge success on Hulu and Disney+. No doubt, members of the family will be making appearances on the show while also giving some time to other people within the Kardashians universe.
