Just hours ahead of the release of the first three episodes of the second season of “Andor: A Star Wars Story”, Disney held a special screening of the first episode at the TIFF Lightbox in Toronto, Canada on Tuesday evening.

The second season of “Andor” takes place as the horizon of war draws near and Cassian becomes a key player in the Rebel Alliance. Everyone will be tested and, as the stakes rise, the betrayals, sacrifices and conflicting agendas will become profound. Rife with political intrigue and danger, the series is a prequel to “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” which portrayed a heroic band of rebels who steal the plans to the Empire’s weapon of mass destruction—The Death Star—setting the stage for the events of the original 1977 film. “Andor” sets the clock back five years from the events of “Rogue One” to tell the story of the film’s hero, Cassian Andor, and his transformation from disinterested, cynical nobody into a rebel hero on his way to an epic destiny.   

The red carpet event was attended by the show’s stars Stellan Skarsgård, who plays “Luthen Rael” and Genevieve O’Reilly, who plays “Mon Mothma”.  The pair took part in a cast conversation on the stage along with an exclusive screening of the first episode of “Andor” Season 2.

Additionally, all Star Wars fans were invited to explore the one day only “Andor” Season 2 gallery at TIFF Lightbox that featured a selection of exclusive props and costumes from the series.

The first three episodes of the second season of “Andor: A Star Wars Story” are available on Disney+, with three new episodes being released each week.  The first season is also available to stream on Disney+, along with “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”.
