“Dancing With The Stars” To Move Due To Vice Presidential Debate
In September, the popular competition series, “Dancing With The Stars”, will be returning for a 33rd season, which will continue to once again be hosted by Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough.
The hit series pairs celebrities with trained ballroom dancers to compete in themed choreographed dance routines that are judged by a panel of renowned ballroom experts, including Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough.
“Dancing With The Stars” will premiere on Tuesday, 17th September 2024, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC and Disney+ in the United States. The series will also be available the following day on Hulu. The new series will also be released on Disney+ in Canada.
However, due to the upcoming Vice Presidental debate between Governor Tim Walz (D-MN) and Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH), which will air on CBS News on October 1st 2024, Disney has decided to preempt the show that week, instead the show will be delayed a week.
So rather than skipping an episode or doing a double elimination, there will now be a two-night event taking place on Monday, 7th October and Tuesday, 8th October 2024.
“Dancing With The Stars” is produced in front of a live audience by BBC Studios Los Angeles Productions.
