“Chip ‘n’ Dale: Park Life” To Air On The Disney Channel
Disney is continuing the recent trend of broadcasting Disney+ Original shows on linear networks; the animated series, “Chip ‘n’ Dale: Park Life”, will be shown on the Disney Channel on Monday, 9th January 2023, at 3 pm.
“Chip ‘n’ Dale: Park Life” follows two tiny troublemakers, Chip and Dale, trying to live the good life in a big city park while having giant-sized, sky-high adventures. Nervous worrier Chip and laid-back dreamer Dale make the perfect odd couple: they’re best buddies and they drive each other nuts. In their perpetual pursuit of acorns, these ultimate underdogs are joined by Pluto, Butch and other iconic Disney characters as they face down bullies great and small.
Comprised of three seven-minute stories, each episode is filled with slapstick, laugh-out-loud cartoon comedy, wacky adventures and heartfelt storytelling.
Disney has recently changed its strategy with its original programming after its first run on Disney+, sharing many of them across its streaming services, such as Disney+ and Hulu, along with linear networks. This allows Disney to get more value out of these originals, by offsetting some of the costs from the streaming division to linear divisions, but it also provides additional revenue with advertising and provides the linear channels with new programming for viewers, without the full expense of creating new content and more importantly, gives linear viewers with a brand new show to enjoy.
Over the New Year’s Weekend, the first seasons of the Disney+ Original series “Big Shot” and “The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers”, will be shown on the FreeForm linear channel. And earlier this year, the second season of “The Mysterious Benedict Society” was released on the Disney Channel at the same time as new episodes were released on Disney+. Also in January, the first season “Monsters At Work”, is also going to be shown on the Disney Channel.
The Disney+ original series is produced by Marc du Pontavice and directed by Jean Cayrol at Xilam Animation. Vincent Artaud serves as the series composer. It was announced at the Annecy International. Animation Film Festival, that a second season is also currently in development and will be released in 2023.
The first season of “Chip ‘n’ Dale: Park Life” is available on Disney+ now.
