Australian NBA hero Dyson Daniels Teams With Disney+ For Upcoming Season

Disney has announced details on its coverage of the upcoming 2025-26 NBA Season that will be the first full season available on ESPN on Disney+ in Australia and New Zealand.  The coverage will provide fans with a feast of NBA action from the opening tip-off to the NBA Finals.

Disney+ will make available at least 240 regular-season NBA games, an enhanced game package for the First and Second Round of the NBA Playoffs, all NBA Conference Finals and NBA Finals games.

Disney+ will also offer ESPN’s full coverage of the NBA and WNBA All-Star Weekends, NBA Draft and WNBA Draft, and the most comprehensive NBA news and analysis.

The new season marks the start of a landmark, 11-year deal between ESPN and the NBA, securing ESPN as ‘Your Home for Hoops’ and the premier destination for the most comprehensive offering of NBA and WNBA content in the region.

Disney+ has enlisted Australian Atlanta Hawks basketball star Dyson Daniels to launch the new NBA season, with Daniels bringing his rising profile and supporter base to ‘Your Home for Hoops’, ESPN.

Daniels enjoyed a breakout 2024/25 NBA season after moving to Atlanta from the New Orleans Pelicans.  The Bendigo product claimed the NBA’s Most Improved Player Award and set NBA records for steals and tipped passes, earning the nickname ‘The Great Barrier Thief’.

Basketball fans will be able to follow Dyson Daniels’ journey on-court for both the Atlanta Hawks and Australian Boomers, as well as enjoy the biggest moments in the NBA season.
