Alaqua Cox Shares Update On Where “Echo” Might Appear Next
Earlier this year, Marvel Studios released a brand new series on Disney+ and Hulu called “Echo”, which spotlights Maya Lopez as Wilson Fisk’s criminal empire pursues her. When the journey brings her home, she must confront her own family and legacy
The series also saw Vincent D’Onofrio return to play the Kingpin and Charlie Cox as Daredevil, who will also be returning in a brand new series, “Daredevil: Born Again”, which recently wrapped filming.
Recently, Alaqua Cox, who plays Maya Lopez, spoke with Screenrant
I would hope that she’s able to cross paths with other superheroes as well, for example, the Avengers, like you mentioned. That would be a dream come true if she was able to meet any of the Avengers or even if she was in Daredevil [Born Again] season 2. We just don’t know. I’d like to see any of those possibilities.
She was also asked if she has spoken to anyone at Marvel about potentially coming back for Phase 5 or beyond, to which she replied:
I can’t say much about it, but I’m really, really hoping it’s going to happen.
As of yet, we don’t know when we might see Echo return to our screens, either in a second season or if she will pop up in other shows or films later down the line, but when asked if she would like to show up in a new Avengers movie or a new season of the Defenders.
Oh, my gosh. I don’t know about that. It would just be a dream come true to be involved in either, so hopefully either.
With the large amount of characters involved in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there are lots of opportunities for interactions with heroes and villains. When asked which character she would like to see Echo face, Alaqua said:
Probably the Green Goblin. That would be pretty cool. I think I’d like to face the Green Goblin.
While we wait to see when or if Echo returns, you can find “Echo”, along with “Hawkeye”, which is the series that introduced Maya to the MCU, on Disney+ now.
