A “Jonas Brothers Christmas Movie” Coming Soon To Disney+
Earlier this month, the Jonas Brothers were spotted filming a new movie in Toronto, Canada, sparking speculation they were filming a brand new movie for Disney+ and today, Disney has confirmed that a brand new film starring the popular brothers will be coming to Disney+ in 2025.
The film is currently going by the working title of “A Jonas Brothers Christmas Movie”, so that’s likely to change and the announcement was made in a video message to fans.
This holiday comedy movie from 20th Television is slated to premiere during the 2025 holiday season on Disney+. In the movie, Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas and Nick Jonas face a series of escalating obstacles as they struggle to make it from London to New York in time to spend Christmas with their families. The Jonas Brothers also serve as producers.
Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger (“I Want You Back,” “This Is Us,” “Love, Simon”) serve as writers and producers. Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas and Nick Jonas are producers, alongside Adam Fishbach, Spencer Berman and Scott Morgan. Emmy and Academy Award winner Jessica Yu (“Quiz Lady,” “This Is Us”) is directing, and GRAMMY nominee Justin Tranter is executive music producer, writing the original songs. The movie is produced by 20th Television, a part of Disney Television Studios.
Roger’s Take: I think once the filming of the movie was known on the internet, with photos of them on the set, they were on a losing streak in trying to hide it. So it does make more sense to get this initial early announcement out now to confirm the news, hence the little joke about it being a bit early for Christmas and just doing a little rip-off of “Love, Actually” since it’s still very early in production. We probably won’t hear much more about this film until the end of summer.
