Disney+ To Add 3 New Streams In April

Disney has announced that three new “Streams” will be coming to Disney+ in the United States in April for Premium tier subscribers.   These “Streams” are a lean-back viewing experience that are refreshed each month with new themes.

The three new Streams will include classic animated films, plus one themed around the “Ice Age” films, and another based on the popular drama series, “Once Upon A Time”.

Other Streams will remain available to all Disney+ subscribers, like ABC NEWS, featuring live newscasts, breaking news, live events, and in-depth special reports through their 24/7 livestream, and DISNEY+ PLAYTIME, which includes all-time favourites for younger viewers.

Here’s the information on the three new streams:

Ice Age  – Launches April 1

The Ice Age Stream delivers a prehistoric adventure across some of the best films and series from the franchise with the coolest herd around! It’s an always-on marathon, perfect for the whole pack.

Once Upon a Time – Launches April 23

Disney+ will add a brand new Once Upon a Time Stream, taking Premium subscribers to the heart of Storybrooke for an enchanting journey through all seven seasons of the Once Upon a Time series.

Animated Classics – Launches April 29

The Animated Classics Stream returns with a timeless collection of beloved animated classics. From The Lion King to Mulan, and many more favourites in between, this curated lineup highlights the stories and songs that have shaped generations.

Roger’s Take: Adding and refreshing the Streams available each month is a great idea, though personally I think Disney should just keep adding new ones, rather than replacing existing Streams, to slowly build out this feature to something much bigger than it currently is.
