Disney has announced that the upcoming 20th Century Studios film, “The Bikeriders”, will be released in cinemas on December 1st 2023.

The film follows the rise of a Midwestern motorcycle club through the lives of its members. It is based on Danny Lyon’s book, which was released in 2004 and is a landmark collection of photographs and interviews that documents the abandon and risk implied in the name of the gang Lyon belonged to: the Chicago Outlaw Motorcycle Club. These images and interviews are raw, alive and dramatic.

It stars Tom Hardy, Boyd Holbrook, Michael Shannon, Austin Butler, Jodie Comer and Norman Reedus.

According to Deadline, “The Bikeriders” film is being produced with New Regency, along with Tri-State’s Sarah Green and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones.

Earlier this week, Disney moved the Searchlight Pictures’ film “Poor Things” to a December release, showing that Disney is happy to keep releasing films during the winter, even with the writer’s and actor’s strikes underway.
