While we wait to see the first episode of the upcoming Star Wars live action series, The Mandalorian on Disney+ on November 12th, work has already begun on the second season.

It’s been confirmed that Rick Famuyiwa will be returning to direct episodes of the second season.  He has worked on an episode from the first series, along with Deborah Chow (Jessica Jones), Bryce Dallas Howard (Solemates), and Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok).

Discussing Film is also reporting that filming is due to begin on the second season of the Mandalorian on October 7th in Los Angeles.

The first trailer for the Mandalorian is set to be released during this weekend’s D23 Expo and the series is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. And follows the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.
