When Is “TRON: Ares” Coming To Disney+
This September, Walt Disney Studios is releasing the next instalment in the classic “TRON” franchise, called “TRON: Ares”, in cinemas around the world.
“TRON: Ares” follows a highly sophisticated Program, Ares, who is sent from the digital world into the real world on a dangerous mission, marking humankind’s first encounter with A.I. beings.
The feature film is directed by Joachim Rønning and stars Jared Leto, Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Hasan Minhaj, Jodie Turner-Smith, Arturo Castro, Cameron Monaghan, with Gillian Anderson, and Jeff Bridges. Sean Bailey, Jeffrey Silver, Justin Springer, Jared Leto, Emma Ludbrook and Steven Lisberger are the producers, with Russell Allen serving as executive producer.
When Is “TRON: Ares” Released?
“TRON: Ares” is being released exclusively in cinemas on October 10th 2025.
When Will “TRON: Ares” Be On Disney+?
Currently, no official Disney+ release date has yet been announced.
Disney now prioritises theatrical releases and generally keeps movies in cinemas for at least three months, especially with big-budget blockbusters like “Snow White”, “Mufasa: The Lion King”, and “Inside Out 2”, which usually take over a hundred days to go from their initial theatrical release to a streaming release.
For that reason, I wouldn’t expect to see “TRON: Ares” arrive on Disney+ until sometime in January 2026. It will likely be available on Disney+ around the same time as the film is released on physical media.

Disney+ updates daily at the following times:
- Pacific Time: 00:00 AM / Midnight
- Eastern Time: 03:00 AM
- UK: 08:00 AM
- Sydney, Australia – 19:00 PM
Sometimes, films can arrive a few minutes later as the servers update. The Disney+ front page usually updates about an hour later.
