Hulu Orders “Durango” Series
20th Television is developing a new drama series called “Durango”, which will tell the story of Mikey, who is a ski bum townie chasing a buzz and Bunny, who is a homeschooled runaway working as a greasy-spoon waitress. Together they’re riding an avalanche of bad decisions and falling in love while running from cops, criminals, and Mikey’s wife in pursuit of their own American dream.
A pilot for the show has already been filmed and based on that, Hulu has greenlight a series. The streaming service has gone back to the traditional method used by linear television studios like ABC and FX, by utilising pilots to establish some quality control over new projects.
“Durango” is being created by Eliza Clark, who previously worked on “Animal Kingdom” and FX’s “Y: The Last Man”, who has written the show and will be an executive producer along with Media Res’ Michael Ellenberg and Lindsey Springer.
No other details on “Durango”, such as who will star in it, or when it’s likely to get released on Hulu and Disney+, but hopefully, it won’t be too long until we find out more details.
