Searchlight Pictures Developing New Thriller ‘Bad Hand’
Disney’s Searchlight Pictures is developing a new thriller called ‘Bad Hand’, which follows a mild-mannered kindergarten teacher who, a week before her wedding, is the victim of a hit and run. In the wake of the accident, she discovers to her horror that the trauma has caused her right hand to act with a mind of its own, bent on bloody revenge.
“Bad Hand” is being directed by Chloe Okuno, who previously worked on “Watcher” and it has been written by April Wolfe, who previously worked on “Black Christmas”.
According to Deadline, it will be produced by Elizabeth Banks, Max Handelman and Alison Small will produce for Brownstone Productions.
Searchlight Picture’s Head of Acquisitions and Production Chan Phung and Director of Acquisitions and Production Marielle Membreno are overseeing the project, who will be report to Heads of Production and Development DanTram Nguyen and Katie Goodson-Thomas.
No other details on the upcoming film have been revealed, such as who will star in it, or when it will be released, either in cinemas or on Disney+.
