“The Man In My Basement” Teaser Trailer Released
Disney has released a teaser trailer for the upcoming movie, “The Man In My Basement”, which is based on the acclaimed novel by Walter Mosley, who is behind “Devil in a Blue Dress” and “The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey”.
In the African American neighborhood of Sag Harbor, New York, Charles Blakey is out of work, out of luck and on the verge of foreclosure on his ancestral home. A knock on the door from a mysterious businessman, Anniston Bennet, brings a bizarre and lucrative proposition; rent his dusty stand-up basement out for the summer and receive enough money to clear his debts for good. Once Charles accepts, he finds himself led down a terrifying path that confronts his family’s ghosts and locks the men in a terrifying puzzle, at the heart of it race, the source of their traumas and the root of all evil.

The movie has been directed by Nadia Latif and has been produced by Diane Houslin, John Giwa-Amu, Dave Bishop, and Len Rowlands. It stars Corey Hawkins, Willem Dafoe and Anna Diop, along with Jonathan Ajayi, Gershwyn Eustache Jnr., Pamela Nomvete, and Tamara Lawrance.
“The Man In My Basement” will premiere in cinemas and on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ later this fall. No international Disney+ release details have been announced yet, but its very likely, since most other Andscape films have also been released globally on Disney+.
