“The Conners” Renewed For One Final Season
Disney has confirmed that the popular comedy series, “The Conners” is going to be coming to an end after seven seasons, with one final short burst of six episodes.
For over three decades, audiences have followed along with The Conners as they navigate the daily struggles of life in Lanford. Dan, Jackie, Darlene and Becky grapple with parenthood, marriage, financial pressures and aging in working-class America. Through it all—the fights, the coupon cutting, the hand-me-downs, the breakdowns—with love, humour and perseverance, the family prevails.
This show was a spin-off from the “Roseanne” revival that originally launched in 2018, but due to inappropriate comments made online by the show’s star, Roseanne Barr, who was fired by ABC, the cast and crew decided to continue the family’s story without her.
The series stars John Goodman as Dan Conner, Laurie Metcalf as Jackie Harris, Sara Gilbert as Darlene Conner, Lecy Goranson as Becky Conner-Healy, Michael Fishman as D.J. Conner, Emma Kenney as Harris Conner-Healy, Ames McNamara as Mark Conner-Healy, Jayden Rey as Mary Conner and Jay R. Ferguson as Ben.
Unlike most ABC comedy series, “The Conners” is a show that is licensed from Werner Entertainment, with Tom Werner as an executive producer, along with Sara Gilbert, Bruce Helford, Dave Caplan, Bruce Rasmussen and Tony Hernandez.
The sixth season is just coming to a close, and Disney has released a promo video announcing that this series is coming to a close:
The latest season is available to stream on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States now.
Roger’s POV: It’s great to see “The Conners” getting one final, if shorter, season, as someone who has watched the Conner family since the 80s, it’s only right it gets to final the story and put these characters into positions that will keep fans happy.
