Simone Ashley To Star In “The Devil Wears Prada 2”

Production is currently underway on the sequel to the hit movie, “The Devil Wears Prada”, which is expected to follow Runway’s terrifying editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly as she navigates her career amid the decline of traditional magazine publishing. She faces off against Blunt’s character, her one-time assistant who is now a high-powered executive for a luxury group, with advertising dollars that Priestly desperately needs.

The movie will see Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci return for the sequel, with Kenneth Branagh joining the film, where he will play the role of Stanley’s character’s husband.

It’s also been revealed that Simone Ashley has joined the cast of the film. Simone has previously starred in “Bridgeton” and “The Little Mermaid”.

Also set to star in the movie will be Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, B.J. Novak, and Pauline Chalamet. Helen J. Shen, Contrad Ricamora, and Caleb Hearon are also going to make appearances in the movie.

The sequel will be released in cinemas on May 1st 2026, so we should expect it to arrive on Disney+ a few months later.

This new movie is going to be filmed in New York and Italy. It will be directed by David Frankel, who made the first film, along with Aline Brosh McKenna, who was the writer who adapted the New York Times mega bestseller book by Lauren Weisberger.

The original “The Devil Wears Prada” movie is available to stream now on Disney+.
