During the Walt Disney Company Investor Call, CEO Bob Iger confirmed that there are many more Star Wars series in development for Disney+.

We already know that three series are currently in develop, one sees the return of Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi, another will see Diego Luna return as Captain Cassian Andor in a Rogue One prequel and a second season of the Mandalorian is also currently filming.

Bob Iger also has said that after the release of Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker, that the Star Wars movie franchise will “go into a hiatus for a few years”.

Recently it was revealed that Game of Thrones creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have stepped away from making the next Star Wars movie.  But it was also announced that Marvel’s Kevin Feige will be making a Star Wars movie, but these won’t be released in cinemas for a few years.

So for the next few years, the only place to see new Star Wars content is on Disney+

The first episode of Star Wars: The Mandalorian will be available on Disney+ on November 12th.

Not a bad idea, however I would still love to see Solo 2...but not holding my breath for that one. The current slate shows 2022 for the next movie, and I hope that timeline still happens. If I were to guess, I would say the Kevin Feige movie will happen before anything from Rian Johnson...I could totally see his movie take the 2022 slot, with Rian Johnson coming a year or two later.
