One of the most popular shows on the Disney Channel and Disney+ is the hit animated series, “Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir” and its going to be returning later this year with a sixth season.

The show explores the double lives of Marinette and Adrien, two seemingly ordinary teenagers who transform into secret superheroes Ladybug and Cat Noir to protect their city of Paris. In the new season, Marinette and Adrian navigate a deepening relationship filled with life-altering revelations and unforeseen challenges, while their superhero alter egos must confront their most formidable adversary yet.

This new sixth season will look a little different from the previous seasons. It’ll be the first to be produced using the Unreal Engine, which will upgrade the visual effects of the show.

Maria Doolan, head of content partnerships and distribution at Miraculous Corp, said in a statement regarding the new season:

“The launch of season six coincides with the 10th anniversary of the Miraculous brand and promises an exciting new chapter in the franchise. This season features characters who have grown and evolved with refreshed visuals that capture their development, and a bold new storyline weaves together themes of courage and self-belief that continue to resonate with fans of all ages. Disney has been instrumental in bringing ‘Miraculous’ to a global audience, and we’re thrilled to share this exciting milestone with viewers worldwide,”

The previous five seasons, along with some TV specials are available to stream on Disney+, and according to Variety, the new sixth season will premeire in the United States on the Disney Channel and Disney XD on January 25th 2025 at 11am ET/PT, with an international rollout on Disney+ coming in the first quarter of 2025. No US Disney+ release date has been announced yet, but expect it to follow shortly after the new season debuts on the Disney Channel, similar to previous seasons.

Production is currently underway on the seventh season of “Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir”, which is produced in collaboration with Disney Branded Television, Brazil’s Globosat, Italy’s KidsMe, and France’s TF1. The seventh season is scheduled to be released in 2027.
