Mark Ruffalo To Return For “Spider-Man: Brand New Day”

Next summer, Marvel Studios will be teaming up with Sony Pictures to release a brand new movie featuring Tom Holland as “Spider-Man”, in “Spider-Man: Brand New Day”, which will be released in cinemas on July 31st 2025.

To celebrate Spider-Man Day, Sony has released a short video teaser trailer for the movie, showing off a first look at Tom Holland in Spider-Man’s new suit, which is more traditional that we’ve seen in his other MCU outings.

Very little is known about the upcoming movie, but we do know that it will see Jon Bernthal reprising his role of the Punisher, along with “Stranger Things” star Sadie Sink joining the MCU in an unannounced role.

It’s also been revealed that Mark Ruffalo has joined the cast, bringing Bruce Banner and potentially, The Hulk, into the movie, which could have a big impact on the storyline, depending on whether his role is just a cameo or a larger part of the story.

Mark has previously played Bruce Banner/The Hulk in all of the previous “Avengers” movie, along with the “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” and the Disney+ Original series, “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law”.

The upcoming movie will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, who previously worked on “Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings” and the upcoming “Wonder Man” Disney+ series.   Amy Pascal and Marvel president Kevin Feige are producing it.  The script has been written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers.
