Kathryn Hahn Gives Update On Marvel’s “Agatha: Darkhold Diaries” Disney+ Series
Later this year, Marvel Studios is releasing a new series, “Agatha: Darkhold Diaries” on Disney+, which is a spin-off of the popular “WandaVision” series and sees Kathryn Hahn reprising her role of Agatha Harkness.
Unfortunately, as with most new Marvel projects, we don’t know what the series is going to be about yet, but we do know that it will star Aubrey Plaza, Joe Locke, Patti LuPone, Sasheer Zamata and Ali Ahn. The show will also star Emma Caulfield Ford, Maria Dizzia, Miles Gutierrez-Riley and Okwui Okpokwasili.
Since the initial show was announced during Disney+ Day in 2021, the show has gone by the names “Agatha: Coven Of Chaos” and “Agatha: House Of Harkness”.
Filming on “Agatha: Darkhold Diaries” took place last summer and managed to complete initial filming before the actor’s strike began. However, as with most Marvel Studios projects, there are going to be some reshoots taking place soon.
During an interview with THR at the Emmy Primetime Awards, Kathryn Hahn gave a small update on the upcoming series, confirming that she will return to pick up a few more days of shooting.
It’s standard practice for Marvel Studios to do reshoots and pickups after a series or film has wrapped up its initial filming, with Marvel even scheduling this in advance. While post-production on the series has been ongoing since last summer, it’s good to know this series is almost complete.
Kathryn also talked about her excitement for the upcoming series, not just for fans to see it but also for herself. She also talked about how she used to dress up as a witch for Halloween as a kid and now gets to play one as an adult.
While we wait for the upcoming “Agatha” series, you can find “WandaVision” on Disney+ now.
