This summer, Wes Anderson is bringing his latest vision, “Asteroid City”, to screens worldwide. The new film takes place in a fictional American desert town circa 1955. The itinerary of a Junior Stargazer/Space Cadet convention (organized to bring together students and parents from across the country for fellowship and scholarly competition) is spectacularly disrupted by world-changing events.

“Asteroid City” features an all-star cast including Jason Schwartzman, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Hanks, Jeffrey Wright, Tilda Swinton, Bryan Cranston, Edward Norton, Adrien Brody, Liev Schreiber, Hope Davis, Stephen Park, Rupert Friend, Maya Hawke, Steve Carell, Matt Dillon, Hong Chau, Willem Dafoe, Margot Robbie, Tony Revolori, Jake Ryan, and Jeff Goldblum.  And it was directed by Wes Anderson, who also wrote the film with Roman Coppola. The film’s producers include Wes Anderson, Steven Rales, and Jeremy Dawson.

When Is “Asteroid City” Coming To Disney+?

The simple answer is, No, “Asteroid City” won’t be streaming on Disney+.  This is because the film has been distributed by Universal Studios, meaning it will be streaming exclusively on Peacock first, followed by a short run on Netflix, following a theatrical and digital release.
