
“Investigation Shark Attack” Coming Soon To Nat Geo, Hulu & Disney+
This coming July, National Geographic is bringing back its annual SharkFest event, with a selection of new content featuring the worlds most amazing creatures.
One of the new shows to be released this year is “Investigation Shark Attack”, which will deliver an in-depth look inside the mind of these apex predators, the six-part series explores shark behavior from their unique perspective. An intense forensic investigation at the innovative Shark Headquarters by a panel of scientists analyzes key theories and ultimately dissects each encounter to determine what leads sharks to strike.
“Investigation Shark Attack” will premiere on July 5th 2025 at 9/8c on the National Geographic channel, with new episodes being released daily afters. The entire series will stream the next day on Disney+ and Hulu on July 6th 2025. No international Disney+ release date has been announced.
Here’s a look at the new episodes in this series:
- “California Great Whites” – The team investigates why great white shark encounters are on the rise in California and asks if humans and great whites can safely coexist.
- “Tigers In Hawaii” – Three surfers and a kayaker encounter tiger sharks off Oahu. The team investigates the sharks’ hunting patterns to see what’s causing these incidents.
- “Bitten in the Bahamas” – Sharks in the Bahamas threaten its most popular attraction—tourism. The team reveals factors that lead Bahamian sharks to mistake humans for prey.
- “Gulf Trouble” – A rash of attacks in the Gulf of Mexico sparks a major investigation. The team studies these super-rare encounters from a shark’s perspective.
- “Florida’s Bite Capital” – The team investigates a string of incidents in Florida to discover what makes a short stretch of beach the “shark-bite capital of the world.”
- “Maui Mayhem” – The team investigates incidents off Maui—in peak tourist season—to discover why this island has more shark encounters than the entire Hawaiian chain.
