For those lucky enough to be visiting the fantastic Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida, it’s going to become even easier to watch your favourite films and shows on Disney+.

According to WDWMagic, Guests staying at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels are now able to stream Disney+ on in-room TVs.

However, you’ll still need a Disney+ subscription to log in, as Disney doesn’t offer guests free access to the streaming service, which is a shame.

It should be noted that not every hotel on-site at Walt Disney World currently has this feature, and it’s slowly rolling out across the hotels at the resort.

At the end of your stay, you will also be automatically signed out of Disney+, and there is also an option to log out manually before you leave.

Up until recently, the only way to stream Disney+ on the TVs in the hotel rooms was via casting.

If you don’t fancy using your Disney+ subscription or don’t have one, there is still the option to use the “Disney on Demand” area on the home screen menu.

Roger’s Take:  It’s amazing to think Disney has taken this long to make Disney+ available on TVs at the resort, but no doubt the cost of upgrading over 30,000 TVs across all of the hotel rooms at the resort was going to take some time.  It’s also a shame that a trial version of Disney+ isn’t offered in place, unlike the “Disney On Demand” platform, but again, this is likely down to Disney trying to save money.  In reality, Disney doesn’t want you sitting in your room watching Disney+; it wants you out spending money at their restaurants, shops or theme parks!  But on the flip side, offering a “Disney+” experience while staying at the resort would be a great advert for the service, even if it was just a rebranded version of “Disney on Demand”.
