There are plenty of new original shows and films heading to Disney+ around the world in August 2023, including brand new episodes of the latest Star Wars series, “Ahsoka” and much more.

Here’s a look at the new originals coming to Disney+ in August 2023:


Star Wars: Ahsoka

Set after the fall of the Empire, “Star Wars: Ahsoka” follows the former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.

The first two episodes arrive on Disney+ on Wednesday, 23rd August 2023, with new episodes dropping weekly.


High School Musical: The Musical: The Series – Final Season

After an epic summer at Camp Shallow Lake, the Wildcats return to East High where they prepare a stage production of “High School Musical 3: Senior Year.” But plans are disrupted when Principal Gutierrez announces that Disney has decided to make the long-awaited “High School Musical 4: The Reunion” movie on location at their beloved high school.

The entire fourth and final season arrives on Disney+ globally on Wednesday, 9th August 2023


Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures

Set during The High Republic era, the animated series follows Jedi Younglings as they study the ways of the Force and learn valuable skills needed to become Jedi. The series was recently nominated for a 2023 Television Critics Association Award and was awarded a Common Sense Seal from Common Sense Media, which acknowledges outstanding media that families can enjoy together.

Chip ‘n’ Dale: Park Life (Season 2)

Our two tiny troublemakers are back, with even wilder and crazier adventures! In their big city park, Chip and Dale are as eager as ever to increase their acorn stash. But their tumultuous dynamic makes it hard for things to ever go right. Along with Pluto, Donald, and even more Disney characters, the world’s favorite chipmunk duo take on a brand-new chunk of trouble!

New episodes are going to arrive on Disney+ on Wednesday, 30th August 2023.


LEGO Disney Princess: The Castle Quest

In the all-new special “LEGO® Disney Princess: The Castle Quest,” Tiana, Moana, Snow White, Rapunzel, and Ariel are off on an adventure as they are each unexpectedly transported to a mysterious castle. Shortly after arriving, they soon discover that Gaston has hatched an evil plan to take over all their kingdoms! The Princess characters must work together to solve challenges hidden deep within the castle walls and try to save their kingdoms from Gaston. Will bravery, quick-thinking, and teamwork prevail?

This new animated special arrives on Friday, 18th August 2023


And internationally, there are some more originals heading to Disney+ in August, all of which are available on Hulu in the United States. The new Star Originals include:


Futurama – Season 11

After a brief 10-year hiatus, “Futurama” has crawled triumphantly from the cryogenic tube, its full original cast and satirical spirit intact. The 10 all-new episodes of season 11 have something for everyone. New viewers will be able to pick up the series from here, while long-time fans will recognize payoffs to decades-long mysteries – including developments in the epic love story of Fry and Leela, the mysterious contents of Nibbler’s litter box, the secret history of evil Robot Santa, and the whereabouts of Kif and Amy’s tadpoles. Meanwhile there’s a whole new pandemic in town as the crew explores the future of vaccines, bitcoin, cancel culture, and streaming TV.

New episodes are going to be released every Monday throughout August.


Synduality Noir

The year is 2222. It has been years since Tears of the New Moon, a mysterious rain, poured and wiped out almost the entire human race. The poisonous rain gave birth to deformed creatures devouring humans, and humanity fled from the danger. As means for survival, the humans then build an underground haven; Amasia. In this newly built dystopian city, in a pursuit of maintaining their existence, they run into an Artificial Intelligence named Magus. Not knowing how things will work between them, the story of how Humans and AI coinciding and trying to find their truths begin.

Only Murders In The Building – Season 3

From the minds of Steve Martin, Dan Fogelman and John Hoffman comes a comedic murder-mystery series for the ages. “Only Murders In the Building” follows three strangers (Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez) who share an obsession with true crime and suddenly find themselves wrapped up in one. When a grisly death occurs inside their exclusive Upper West Side apartment building, the trio suspects murder and employs their precise knowledge of true crime to investigate the truth. As they record a podcast of their own to document the case, the three unravel the complex secrets of the building which stretch back years. Perhaps even more explosive are the lies they tell one another. Soon, the endangered trio comes to realize a killer might be living amongst them as they race to decipher the mounting clues before it’s too late.

New episodes will be released every Tuesday from 8th August 2023.


Vacation Friends 2

Picking up a few months after the end of “Vacation Friends,” this uproarious sequel finds newly married couple Marcus and Emily inviting their uninhibited besties Ron and Kyla, who are also newly married and have a baby, to join them for a vacation when Marcus lands an all-expenses-paid trip to a Caribbean resort. His reason for traveling there in the first place is to meet with the owners of the resort to bid on a construction contract for a hotel they own in Chicago. But when Kyla’s incarcerated father Reese (Buscemi) is released from San Quentin and shows up at the resort unannounced at the worst possible moment, things get out of control, upending Marcus’ best laid plans and turning the vacation friends’ perfect trip into total chaos.

Jagged Mind

A woman plagued by blackouts and strange visions discovers she’s stuck in a series of time loops, possibly related to her mysterious new girlfriend.

This new film arrives on Disney+ on August 11th 2023.


Moving

In this supernatural action series, children who live in hiding with superpowers, along with their parents who live with painful secrets of the past, face enormous dangers together.

The seven episodes of this Korean drama arrive on Disney+ on August 9th 2023, with new episodes weekly afterwards.
