Today, during the Television Critics Association’s Winter Press Tour, Disney announced a brand new biopic drama series called “Iron Mike”.

The 8-episode limited series is being made by the team behind “I, Tonya,” and this new series will explore the wild, tragic and controversial life and career behind one of the most polarizing figures in sports culture – heavyweight champion Mike Tyson.

“Iron Mike” is being created by 20th Television and created by “I, Tonya” screenwriter Steven Rogers, showrunner Karin Gist will executive produce with Claire Brown of The Gist Of It, along with the “I, Tonya” team of Rogers, director Craig Gillespie, Clubhouse Pictures’ Bryan Unkeless and Scott Morgan, LuckyChap’s Margot Robbie, Tom Ackerley and Brett Hedblom and Entertainment 360’s Darin Friedman.

The series will be coming to Hulu in the United States and with 20th Television creating the show, we should hopefully see the series arrive internationally on Disney+ as a “Star Original”.  No other details regarding the series have yet been announced.
