Hulu Developing “The Kid Detective” Series

A brand new series is under development based on the 2020 movie, “The Kid Detective”, which is being created for Hulu/Disney+.

In the new series, when a missing persons case reopens the childhood murder he never solved, a washed-up former kid detective gets one last shot at proving his best days aren’t behind him.

According to Variety, the original film starred Adam Brody; however, he is not connected to the new project.

“The Kid Detective” is being created by Evan Morgan, who wrote and directed the original film, and will be an executive producer on the series. Alex Berger is also writing and executive producing the show. Alex has previously worked on “CIA” and “The Perfect Couple”. Rachel Kaplan of Abescon Entertainment is also executive producing; she has previously worked on “La Brea” and “The Baker And The Beauty”. Also working on the show is Jonathan Bronfman and the film’s original producer, Will Woods.

As with any project in development, it still might not necessarily come to be and there are no other details on the project, such as when it might get released or who will star in it.
