D23 Brazil – Disney+ & Movie Panel Predictions!
Disney is hosting its first major D23 event at the Transamerica Expo Center in São Paulo in Brazil on November 8th, 9th and 10th.
The event will feature interactive experiences, exclusive shopping, and entertainment for all ages from Disney’s core brands, including Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic.
There are many major presentations taking place over the weekend in the D23 Arena, including one for Marvel, Star Wars and 20th Century Studios, and another for Pixar and Disney Animation/Live Action. Plus there will also be a presentation for Disney+, plus one that focuses on local productions.
Much like we’ve seen with other major events like the D23: Ultimate Fan Event, New York Comic-Con and San Diego Comic-Con, I wouldn’t expect it to be live-streamed, so the presentation will only be for those in attendance. But expect to see some major news and previews revealed during this event, but I wouldn’t expect too many released to the public.
Here are the major presentations and some of my predictions:
Walt Disney Animation, Pixar, Disney Live Action and 20th Century Animation
- Friday, November 8th 2024 – 4:00 p.m.
One of the highlights of the D23 Brazil event, those in attendance are no doubt going to get a fantastic tease of what’s coming from many of Disney’s studios over the next year or so.
- Moana 2
- Mufasa: The Lion King
- Elio
- Win Or Lose
- Snow White
- Freakier Friday
- Lilo & Stitch
- Zootopia 2
Lucasfilm, 20th Century Studios and Marvel Studios
- Saturday, November 9th 2024 – 4:30 p.m.
This is undoubtedly going to be one of the most popular panels at D23 Brazil. However, I do think fans outside Brazil probably need to pull back their expectations since it’s likely that those in attendance will just get to see clips and teasers that have already been shown at the major panels in the US earlier this year, with the exception of the new “Mandalorian & Grogu” and “Fantastic Four” films, which have had a few more months of filming, so a sneak peek for those in attendance wouldn’t be a surprise.
- Captain America: Brave New World
- Thunderbolts*
- The Fantastic Four
- Avatar: Fire & Ash
- Star Wars: The Mandalorian & Grogu
- Tron: Ares
Disney+ has everything!
- Sunday, November 10th 2024 – 1:30 p.m.
This presentation is a little harder to predict, but I wouldn’t be surprised if those in attendance get to see some early previews of the major titles heading to Disney+ in 2025, with hopefully a teaser trailer or two released for those of us at home.
- Percy Jackson And The Olympians
- Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man
- Eyes Of Wakanda
- X-Men ’97
- Daredevil: Born Again
- Dream Productions
- Ironheart
- Star Wars: Skeleton Crew
- Star Wars: Andor – Season 2
- Marvel Zombies
- What If? Season 3
Disney National Productions Disney+ and Cinema
- Sunday, November 10th 2024 – 4:30 p.m.
Disney makes many great new shows and films in Latin America, so we should expect to see plenty of news and previews of upcoming originals coming from Latin America in the year ahead. This is the one panel that I think will deliver all the major news for new original international content for Disney+.
Roger’s Take: While I know those attending D23 Brazil are going to have a fantastic experience, but with a considerable slowdown in what content Disney is making and with most of its 2025 lineup already revealed, so I don’t think there’s going to be brand new revealed, except for the Latin American Originals, which I think is going to be where the majority of news is coming from.
There are already plenty of sneak peeks from NYCC, SDCC & D23 that haven’t been released to the public that could be shown to those in attendance at D23 Brazil. There will probably be a few trailers or sneak peeks released to the world, but I’m not expecting too much, and I just know so many fans online are going to be expecting announcements at the 2020 “Investor Day” level, which is never going to happen again, as the entire industry has changed.
What do you think is going to be revealed at D23 Brazil? Let me know on social media!
