This coming May, Disney is releasing plenty of new shows onto Disney+ around the world, with a variety of new originals and much more from around the world. There will also be new episodes of multiple originals, including “Star Wars: The Bad Batch”, and “X-Men ’97”.

With the launch of Hulu On Disney+, Hulu content is now available within Disney+ in the United States for Disney Streaming Bundled subscribers. Internationally, these shows will also be available on Disney+.

Here are some of the highlights of what’s coming to Disney+ in May 2024.


Doctor Who – Season 1

“Doctor Who” follows the Doctor and Ruby Sunday through infinite adventures across time and space in the TARDIS. From the Regency era in England to war-torn futures, the duo champion the forces of good while encountering incredible friends and dangerous foes.

New episodes will be released every Friday at 7pm ET from May 10th on Disney+ around the world except for in the UK and Ireland.

 


Star Wars: Tales of the Empire

This six-episode short series journey into the fearsome Galactic Empire through the eyes of two warriors on divergent paths, set during different eras. After losing everything, young Morgan Elsbeth navigates the expanding Imperial world toward a path of vengeance, while former Jedi Barriss Offee does what she must to survive a rapidly changing galaxy. The choices they make will define their destinies.

This new short series arrive on Disney+ on Star Wars Day, May the Fourth!


Monsters At Work – Season 2

Tylor’s journey as a Jokester and his friendship with Val face the ultimate test. When new doors of opportunity unexpectedly open at rival energy company, FearCo, Tylor’s co-workers at Monsters Inc. begin to question his loyalty. As his Laugh Floor partnership with Val is pushed to the brink, Tylor must discover where he really belongs.

The entire second season will arrive on Disney+ around the world on Sunday, 5th May 2024.

 


Shardlake – Hulu/Star

Drenched in mystery, suspense and deception, this four-part drama, based on the first novel in Sansom’s series, is an eerie whodunnit adventure, set in 16th century England during the dissolution of the monasteries. Shardlake’s sheltered life as a lawyer is turned upside down when Cromwell instructs him to investigate the murder of one of his commissioners at a monastery in the remote town of Scarnsea. The commissioner was gathering evidence to close the monastery and it is now imperative for Cromwell’s own political survival that Shardlake both solves the murder and closes the monastery. He leaves Shardlake in no doubt that failure is not an option. Cromwell insists that he is accompanied by Jack Barak to Scarnsea, where the duo are met with hostility, suspicion and paranoia by the monks who fear for their future and will seemingly stop at nothing to preserve their order.

This new British original will be released on Wednesday, 1st May 2024.


X-Men ’97

“X-Men’97” revisits the iconic era of the 1990s as The X-Men, a band of mutants who use their uncanny gifts to protect a world that hates and fears them, are challenged like never before, forced to face a dangerous and unexpected new future.

There will be three more episodes coming to Disney+ in May, with one dropping each Wednesday. Plus a behind the scenes “Assembled” episode will also arrive on Wednesday, 22nd May 2024.


Star Wars: The Bad Batch

In the epic final season of “Star Wars: The Bad Batch,” the Batch will have their limits tested in the fight to reunite with Omega as she faces challenges of her own inside a remote Imperial science lab. With the group fractured and facing threats from all directions, they will have to seek out unexpected allies, embark on dangerous missions, and muster everything they have learned to free themselves from the Empire.

The season finale will be released on Disney+ on May 1st 2024.


The Kardashians – Season 5 – Hulu/Star

Just when you think life can’t get any faster in the Kardashian-Jenner family, they punch it into overdrive. From the big screen to baby bliss, the family continues to defy expectations in all their endeavours. Cameras roll as Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, Kendall, and Kylie navigate contentious sister dynamics, all under the watchful eye of everyone’s favourite matriarch, Kris.

New episodes of the fifth season of “The Kardashians” will be arriving every Thursday from May 23rd 2024.


Welcome To Wrexham – Season 3 – Hulu/Star

In 2020, Rob and Ryan teamed up to purchase the 5th tier Red Dragons in the hopes of turning the Club into an underdog story the whole world could root for. The world took notice and change is afoot. After 15 painful seasons in the National League, the Club finally achieved promotion back into the English Football League. The stakes have never been higher as League Two brings a new level of intensity and the Club continues to be plagued with injury and setbacks. Dedicated staff and supporters celebrate the city’s return to glory while bracing for the new-found challenges that come with a return to the EFL. Will Wrexham AFC stand up to the challenge and rise again?

Meanwhile, Wrexham AFC’s Women’s Team, fresh off an undefeated season that saw them promoted to the Welsh Adran Premier League, continue to show why women were meant to be footballers. With new players, a new pitch, and a whole new level of competition, can they continue to dominate and make a name for themselves at the top of the League?

For the first time ever in season three, with the team taking their place in the EFL, “Welcome to Wrexham’s” cameras will have unprecedented access on the pitch, bringing viewers inside the locker room and alongside the players, while the action is unfolding in some of the biggest matches Wrexham AFC has ever played.

The first two episodes will be released on Friday 3rd May 2024, with a new episode each Friday throughout May on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and on Disney+ around the world.


The Veil – Hulu/Star

FX’s The Veil explores the surprising and fraught relationship between two women who play a deadly game of truth and lies on the road from Istanbul to Paris and London. One woman has a secret, the other a mission to reveal it before thousands of lives are lost. In the shadows, mission controllers at the CIA and French DGSE must put differences aside and work together to avert potential disaster.

New episodes will be released each week throughout May on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the US and on Disney+ in many countries, including Canada and Australia.


Vanderpump Villa – Hulu/Star

Each scintillating episode follows the elite staff as they try to provide luxurious, once-in-a-lifetime, Vanderpump-curated experiences for guests while dealing with rivalries, romances, and raucous misadventures that come from living and working together 24/7. From firework-filled proposals and opulent events at the chateau to unbelievable excursions and outrageous confrontations in the French countryside, each day at the Chateau brings nonstop heartfelt, humorous, and heated moments, from staff and guests alike. All the while, Lisa evaluates whether this is the team to make her “pop up” experience a permanent reality and add to her ever-growing empire. But will this unparalleled–yet unorthodox–crew be able to rise to the occasion and meet both the guests’ and Lisa’s great expectations?
