It’s a brand new week and time to take a look at some of the new original programming that is coming to Hulu this week, which includes a brand new original film from Searchlight Pictures and much more.

Rye Lane

Yas (Vivian Oparah) and Dom (David Jonsson), two 20-somethings both reeling from bad break-ups, connect over the course of an eventful day in South London-helping each other deal with their nightmare exes, and potentially restoring their faith in romance.

RapCaviar Presents

“RapCaviar Presents” is a compelling new documentary series that tackles some of today’s most provocative issues through the stories of hip-hop visionaries and emerging stars currently ruling the charts and influencing our culture, from City Girls to Tyler, The Creator, Polo G, Roddy Ricch, Coi Leray and more. Based on the influential Spotify playlist, launched in 2015, this six-part series is a deep dive into current events that untangles important subjects and offers a view of the world from an artist’s perspective.

With a focus on candid, riveting storytelling, each episode examines a deep-rooted issue affecting hip-hop artists, their fans, and society at large, including explorations of mental health, women’s sexuality, the criminalization of rap, social media criticism, and the cost of virality. Featuring commentary from cultural tastemakers, media experts, and extensive historical context, the series highlights tales of triumph, disruption, empowerment, and redemption. Follow a new generation of artists as they confront contentious topics, reshape the culture, and challenge societal norms while making some of the most impactful music of their careers.

Yi, Jin and Peng’s world is forever changed when the public finds out about the existence of magical creatures. With the help of Everest, the friends form a ‘Creature Brigade’ in order to help the mystical beings find a safe haven while protecting them from prying eyes. It’s not always going to be easy for humans and creatures to peacefully coexist, especially when Yi is being watched by a mysterious force.

O Rei Da TV

1988. Silvio Santos, one of the biggest presenters on Brazilian television, is diagnosed with a serious problem with his vocal cords, which will leave him voiceless. The fear of being forced to leave the stage brings back memories of his trajectory: from his childhood as a street hawker to his struggle to obtain the SBT TV channel concession during the military dictatorship.
