Disney has announced that a brand new documentary special called “Protecting Paradise: The Story of Niue” is going to be released soon on Disney+, Hulu, and the National Geographic channel.

In 2016, the people of Niue created Moana Mahu, one of the world’s largest marine protected areas, supported by National Geographic’s Pristine Seas. Six years later, Niue welcomes Pristine Seas back to document the changes to their waters with cutting-edge technology and help determine the next steps for a sustainable future.

“Protecting Paradise: The Story of Niue” premieres on the National Geographic channel in the United States on June 7th 2024, at 10/9c, and it will stream the next day on Saturday, 8th June 2024, on Disney+ and Hulu.  No international release details have been announced.
